Our family and business adventure of 2006, relocating from suburban
Atlanta, Georgia, to rural Clinton County, Eastern Iowa, has been a long
and sometimes trying experience. However, we have learned new lessons in
patience and perseverance. We are delighted to be here, living amongst
my wife's family and a number of new friends and acquaintances. My wife
and children represent the 6th and 7th generation of her family to live
on the farm since it was homesteaded in 1850.
For the first time in two years,
I plan to exhibit at a Regional Tuba-Euphonium Conference. I am
making plans to be at the Memphis State University's Tuba-Euphonium
Conference in late April. Mike Finn is tentatively also planning
to be there.

I am finding that my services
as a musician in the Quad-Cities area are increasingly in demand,
for which I am thankful. Although I do definitely plan to continue
instrument repairs and restorations, I will have to balance my schedule,
as I will not be in the shop all the time. For better service, I'd
recommend calling or e-mailing me to set up a time that is convenient
for you, when I can work on your instrument. I am trying to avoid
the common pitfall of successful repair shops that get such a overload
of repairs that a backlog of weeks, months, even years of repair
pile up, which becomes a bad situation for both the customer and
the repairman. I have only one instrument and customer in that category
now, and I don't want it to happen ever again. Thanks be to God,
and to all of the loyal customers who have helped make this business
possible.
